“The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc boasts a lovely nose of toasted grain and pineapple. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with a rich texture that’s channeled into a long, lime-sherbet finish. Limpid yellow. Pungent aromas of orange zest, fresh fig and jasmine; a dusty mineral topnote adds lift and clarity. Weighty but surprisingly lithe on the palate, offering juicy and incisive citrus and pit fruit flavors and a hint of fennel.
