The 2016 Vosne-Romanee Les Brulees 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet with blackberry, briary and cracked black pepper scents, all well defined. The palate is quite spicy and grippy on the entry and the tannins just come across a little raw towards the finish. I find this a little disappointing after the Vosne-Romanee Village. Tasted at Raeburn Fine Wines tasting in London.
Anticipated maturity: 2021-2032
