The 2016 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Cramant Grand Cru, from Le Batue and Chemin de Chalon, offers good depth and plenty of immediacy. Overall, this is a relatively soft, open-knit expression of Cramant. Lemon confit, spice, apple tart and hazelnut are nicely amplified. Best of all, the 2016 will drink well right out of the gate. Dosage is 2 grams per liter. Disgorged: July, 2022.
Anticipated maturity: 2022-2030
