The 2015 Pinot Noir Kanzler Vineyard is a classic Russian River Pinot that emphasizes fruit texture and lushness. Succulent red stone fruit, hard candy, blood orange and exotic spice notes run through this sumptuous, voluptuous Pinot Noir. The slightly higher than normal whole clusters here (20%) works beautifully. Rivers-Marie went out on a high note. This is the best Kanzler I can remember tasting from Rivers-Marie. Sadly, the 2015 is last Rivers-Marie Pinot from this site. [Antonio Galloni, 03/01/2017]
