The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru has a lovely, open, welcoming bouquet of red cherry, wild strawberry, orange blossom and light marmalade scents that seem to gain intensity with a few swirls of the glass. The poised, harmonious palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. A complex, slightly earthy finish leaves brown spices lingering on the aftertaste. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and expansive, with a supple frame of tannin, a deep core of succulently ripe fruit and a long, intense and youthfully tight-knit finish.
