Subtle, restrained nose hints at orange, peach and lemon. Then bright and fine-grained but seriously backward, with a strong crushed-rock character giving this penetrating wine superb energy but a bit of early bitterness. Finishes very dry and long, with outstanding stony lift and limited give. This will need patience but offers stunning quality potential for a village wine. [Stephen Tanzer, 01/09/2017]
