The 2015 Vosne-Romanee Les Rouges du Dessus 1er Cru has a generous bouquet featuring plenty of brambly red berry fruit, iodine and pressed iris aromas, the oak neatly enmeshed with the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red berry fruit, a fine bead of acidity and good structure on the finish. Maybe a little more length would not come amiss, but fine overall. Modern in style but with some upswing with bottle age. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. [Neal Martin, 13/11/2018]
