Ceretto’s 2015 Barbaresco Asili is surprisingly reticent, almost uncharacteristically so for this wine and cru. That is probably a good thing for its long-term aging prospects, but readers expecting a sensual young Asili will be shocked by how shut down the 2015 is at this stage. Crushed berries, mint and red berry fruit grace this very pretty, classically austere Barbaresco from Ceretto. The 2015 is a superb wine in the making. [Antonio Galloni, 10/19/2018]
