"Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1Er Cru les Charmes from Ghislaine Barthod has a ripe and generous bouquet with generous red berry fruit, spice and subtle undergrowth scents-complex and beautifully defined. The palate is very well balanced with fine delineation, quite sensual in the mouth with beautifully integrated oak and a sensual, silky smooth finish that attests to some very thoughtful winemaking. What a gorgeous and utterly sublime wine. Tasted September 2017."
