"Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges comes across a little disjointed on the nose at first. The fruit is darker than its peers: blackberry, a touch of cassis and desiccated orange peel. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, the acidity here well judged and lending the finish impressive harmony and cohesion. I would have liked more sustain on the aftertaste, otherwise this is a fine Nuits-Saint-Georges from Henri Gouges. Tasted September 2017." [Neal Martin, 31/10/2017]
