Odette’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is dark, plump and juicy. Black cherry, plum, spice, mint and licorice meld together in an expressive, layered Cabernet Sauvignon. The style is forward, open-knit and succulent, with considerable near and medium term appeal. A host of sweet red cherry, plum, hard candy and lavender meld into the finish. The Estate should drink well with minimal cellaring.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2025
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate exhibits graphite, blackberry and cassis, chocolate and a touch of mineral in a full-bodied, layered and impressively pure style. It’s a big wine for Stags Leap (15.4% alcohol), but gorgeously pure, with everything well-knit into a sensational equilibrium. This is only a baby, but promises to hit its peak in 7-10 years and last 25-30.
Anticipated maturity: 2022-2045
