Full medium red. Captivating lift to the aromas of musky raspberry, flowers and white truffle. Wonderfully smooth on entry, then a bit reticent but fresh in the middle, showing good floral lift to the raspberry and cherry flavors. Really perfumes the aftertaste, but with its slightly edgy acidity this beauty will need time to open and blossom. [Stephen Tanzer, 01/03/2016]

The 2013 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Feusselottes is currently being raised in 40-50% new oak (but different toasting to the Nuits Chaignots). It has a very elegant bouquet, the fruit spectrum redder than the Nuits Chaignots with bright wild strawberry, raspberry and limestone scents. This is very delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins. There is a pleasing density here but the tension makes this feel light and fresh in the mouth, the finish long and persistent with a subtle black pepper note lingering on the aftertaste.
