(from the extreme southern end of the appellation) Medium red. Slightly reduced but complex aromas and flavors of raspberry, strawberry, redcurrant, iron and rose petal. The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Echezeaux opens with an exuberant bouquet of roses, berries and spices. It shows gorgeous depth and finesse in a weightless, elegant style.
