The 2008 Beaucastel has a light, stemmy cranberry and wild strawberry nose that is well defined but to be frank, is lacking vigour. The palate is balanced but thinner than I would have expected, but shows a degree of elegance towards the finish. Tasted November 2011. [Neal Martin, 11/01/2011]
