The 2007 Suduiraut has a well-defined bouquet with quince, Mirabelle, orange rind and light waxy aromas. The palate is well balanced and viscous in texture with tangy marmalade on the entry, fine depth and a gorgeous tangerine, slightly peppery finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent. Tasted at the 2007 horizontal in Sauternes.
Anticipated maturity: 2022-2045
Tasted from the chateau reserves at the estate, once again the nose is very closed at first, faint touches of lemon rind, dried apricot and tangible mineralite that is far more prominent that exhibited on the ’08 or ’09. The nose is almost exactly the same as the bottle in October 2010, but this sample demonstrating more harmony and cohesion towards the finish. The Sauvignon Blanc is imparting hints of Green apple and gooseberry to counterbalance that rich botrytized fruit. Superb. Tasted February 2011.
