Tasted at the California tasting in London. A deep garnet core. This has a well defined nose, dark chocolate, coca, a hint of scorched earth inflecting the intense black fruit. There is a hint of tomato leaf developing with time. The palate is full-bodied with grainy tannins, off-dry, dark chocolate and espresso, a touch of dried fig, blackberry, leading to a tannic, earthy finish that is a little more restrained than usual.
