2006 Cappellano, Barolo, Pie Franco 1x750ml

I have not had the best of luck with the 2006 vintage at Cappellano. Several recent bottles suggest the wines are evolving quickly. That is also the case here, where the 2006 Barolo Otin Fiorin Piè Franco-Michet does not seem to have the depth, intensity or overall pedigree of the best years. A recent bottle of 2006 Barolo Rupestris (in another tasting) was similarly uninspiring. [Antonio Galloni, 01/05/2017]
