The 2005s include the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, which, like all of its siblings, tips the scales at 14.7% natural alcohol. It has classic creme de cassis, cedar wood and a touch of graphite. In many ways Larkmead’s 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is a Napa Valley version of the famous fifth-growth Pauillac, Chateau Pontet-Canet, performing at first-growth levels.
