Good deep red. Complex aromas of raspberry, currant, game, smoke and underbrush. Rich, supple and packed with supersweet, slightly roasted red fruit and smoked meat flavors. Very long and sweet on the back, but with lovely grip. The wine’s fine tannins reach the molars. [Stephen Tanzer, 01/03/2003]
