Pure Nuits character of earth and violets that initially are quite primary but after several hours, definite secondary notes begin to emerge. The flavors offer good depth and richness though they are underpinned by substantial tannic structure. Chevillon’s wines are almost always elegant and this is especially true of Les St. Georges and while the 90 follows in this tradition, it is not clear that the tannic structure will ever completely resolve itself before the fruit declines. I suggest holding this for another 5 years and then drinking it over the next 5.
Anticipated maturity: 2005-2012
