The newest release of Unico Reserva is the 1980. Although it is an outstanding wine, it does not compare to the extraordinary 1970 and 1968. The 1980 is a spice and earth-driven example of Unico, with noteworthy black truffle, cherry, currant, and oaky aromas, that are followed by elegant, medium-bodied, spicy, mineral-like flavors with admirable levels of curranty fruit.
