Summertime is usually reserved for clean-up projects and clearing out some older inventory, but we have been exceptionally busy lately, revving up with fresh stocks and new arrivals. New arrivals take center stage with the hotly anticipated 93-pointer (WA & Vinous) Tempier Rose 2023, along with the not-to-be-missed 2019 Cabassaou (94 WA) and Migoua (95 WA). Cool down this summer with spectacular pricing from two highly rated Grand Cru white Burgundies from William Fevre. Serious red wine drinkers should look no further than the vertical of Clape, the horizontal of Clos Rougeard, or either 100-point Barolos. We’ve got a trio of exciting releases from the Wasserman portfolio that includes favorites from Comtes Lafon, Michel Lafarge and Simon Bize. Another “don’t miss” producer is Emmanuel Brochet, whose grower Champagnes are simply mind-boggling. Wildly complex, well-textured and exotic, these are beautifully compelling bottles. The final wine in today’s offer hit the triple digit score mark for the first time, San Giusto a Rentennano, Percarlo. For more than 2 decades, this has been hiding behind the big names in part due to very small production quantities, but has always been racking up the big scores. I’ve been blind tasted on this, and have put it into blind tastings, and it has always showed with remarkable pedigree and always generates the same response- WOW, that was great.
