It Only Looks Like Friday

Hello Collectors,

Don’t let today’s offer fool you into thinking it’s Friday. Yes, it’s stacked to the brim with incredible wines from incredible producers, and yes, there are myriad highly-rated wines including numerous 100-pointers, but I assure you it’s only Wednesday. There will be plenty more to look forward to on Friday, but for now we’re bringing you this terrific mix of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône, and the incomparable wines of John Kongsgaard.

The Maestro, John Kongsgaard’s Napa roots are deep, and his impact is clear in the history of the region. Inspired early on by the original cult wine of Napa, Stony Hill, Kongsgaard wanted the life that Fred McCrea built for himself. John’s career highlights include putting the famed Newton winery on the map, and later played a role in launching what is arguably the most coveted wine in Napa right now- MacDonald. His most important accomplishment, however, remains his namesake brand which has a tremendous following for his glorious Chardonnays. Not only do we have a solid parcel of The Judge, but there are also some extremely rare magnums available that you don’t want to miss!

Beyond Kongsgaard, the breadth of today’s offer is defined by outstanding value. The Rhône is particularly well represented, with highlights from Barroche, Beaucastel, Clos des Papes, Gonon, and GuigalBordeaux selections span Canon, Figeac, Lynch-Bages, Smith Haut Lafitte, and Troplong Mondot, while Burgundy delivers with Bize, Boillot, Coquard-Loison-Fleurot, and Roumier, all at prices that invite consideration. For those inclined toward something truly singular, a pristine bottle of 2018 Ramonet Montrachet awaits.
