Many years ago, we founded our Cellar Trading division as an outlet for our clients to sell their wines. While it was an instant hit, our scope was necessarily small, given our staffing and technology at the time. But we always knew it had the potential to be something much larger. Last year, we brought on industry veteran Ian Dorin—who many of you already knew about or had a relationship with—to handle Cellar Trading’s day-to-day business. We saw immediate success, expanding our reach in the online marketplace, bringing in new clients to buy your consigned wines, and bringing you broader and deeper offers than we’d previously been able to. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce another much-anticipated step forward: our new website.

Cellar Trading’s primary focus has been to offer you the greatest wines in the world, at prices that represent their true market value, coming from impeccable provenance. Most of our selections come from Domaine’s storage inventory, owned by clients who are sharp, sophisticated collectors. They’ve elected to sell their wines through us for several reasons. First, because Cellar Trading’s community of collectors are eager to buy those very bottles, so it’s easy matchmaking. Second, our margins offer both seller and buyer great deals. Third, our market reach has ballooned (thanks to preferential listings on platforms like Wine-Searcher), with the pool of buyers growing rapidly beyond our Domaine Storage community.

With our new website, Cellar Trading has taken another big step toward making your wine collecting easier. How so? Checkout has become more streamlined. You can now save multiple delivery addresses, and storage clients can choose from any of our Domaine Storage facilities to have your orders transferred to. UPS shipping (with tracking) is now fully integrated as well, so no more separate shipping invoices. The new site also allows for much easier filtering, sorting, and browsing. Plus, on our end, adding new items is faster and easier than ever, allowing us to add new inventory almost daily—so check back periodically for new additions!

In a nutshell, we’ve come a long way, and Cellar Trading resembles now what we envisioned all those years ago.
