The Friday List - 8/16/2024

Just Another Friday

Hello Collectors,

The Friday List is designed to bring the best wines from around the world to any collector. While browsing through our inventory to compile today’s offer, I was spellbound by the sheer number of exceptional wines we have, many of which are well within reach for any collector. Sure, there are a few wines that many will merely dream about, but even those are well worth every penny. As always, all the wines are from impeccable provenance and are priced tremendously well.

Last week, I shared a bottle of 2006 Chave, which received the type of response one would expect— “That was great.” While 2006 may not be the standout vintage like the four we have for sale today, it means these new offerings will surpass the experience I had last week. Speaking of favorites, the wines of Cedric Bouchard continue to impress me, whether they are young or aged, though their rarity is a challenge. Over the past two years, no other Burgundy producer has captivated me more than Lafarge. Whether it’s a top vintage like 2005 or a lesser-known vintage like 2007, their wines consistently perform beyond the level of a typical “1er Cru.”

It’s been a while since we’ve featured wines from Realm, and today’s offer is highly limited in terms of available bottles. The same goes for the aged Abreu wines, which are rarely included in our offers. We close our Cabernet lineup with an extensive vertical of Dominus, as well as a selection of gems from Schrader.
