The Friday List - 4/26/2024
Getting Vertical
Hello Collectors,
Now that Spring is in full swing, we’re amping up our offers as well. Today’s offer is brimming with blue-chip wines spanning various vintages and bottlings, all boasting impeccable provenance. Featuring impressive wines from Burgundy, Rhone, California, Italy, and even Provence, today’s list showcases top-of-the-line producers ready for a new home!
The Golden State makes its mark with some of the most popular producers that frequently grace the Friday List. Abreu, one of our personal favorites, takes the lead, accompanied by a wide selection of Aubert Chardonnay and Pinots. Offerings from Bond and Opus One intermingle with verticals of Insignia, Scarecrow, and M. Etain, boasting more than a dozen wines rated 99-100 points among them!
Italy presents a delightful mix featuring Gaja’s spectacular Sperss bottling, dating back to 1990, including magnums as well! With Rose season approaching, we’re excited to announce the arrival of Tempier Rose 2022 shortly, and we’re also looking forward to offering the 2023 vintage later this year. Feel free to stock up on either or both; we’ve secured excellent allocations of both.
We conclude with Burgundy, the brightest star of today’s offer. An extensive assortment of Roumier (including Amoureuses!) and Rousseau (Beze, Chambertin) wines takes center stage, with a few notable mature selections from the latter. A pair of vintages of Roulot’s Meursault Perrieres (difficult enough to offer even one!) is a must-have for white Burgundy lovers. Following closely behind is the ultra-rare (and crazy good) Bernard Moreau Chevalier Montrachet, a wine I’ve cherished since its inaugural vintage. We round off this selection with a pair of highly-rated, 15-year-old Grand Cru reds from Trapet and Emmanuel Rouget’s Cros Parantoux, from the legendary 2010 vintage!
And let’s not forget the trio from Chave, featuring his glorious Hermitage!
