Youth Movement

Hello Collectors,

With just over a week before my departure for Bordeaux, I find it fitting to highlight the wines from my last trip to Bordeaux, along with a slew of other wines that we have recently added to the site. It’s also a good reminder that we can serve as your source for newly released wines, as well as aged wines. Today’s offer focuses on impeccable storage and provenance, as always, with the added assurance that we imported the Bordeaux ourselves!

I’m thrilled that the 2021 Bordeauxs have arrived, allowing me to sample them firsthand from the bottle. I have exciting news to share—they are exactly as I remembered from the barrel! The press reviews are quite favorable, and, more importantly, the wines are attractively priced. This vintage is particularly noteworthy for those seeking “throwback Bordeaux,” reminiscent of vintages from the 1980s rather than today’s riper, richer years. Speaking of which, today’s offer includes arrivals of some older Bordeaux wines (including Haut Brion and Margaux) at great prices.

The California wines featured in today’s offer are sure to excite, with a short but mighty trio of names—MacDonald, Eisele, and Ridge Monte Bello—all of which are house favorites, without a doubt. Germany and Italy are well represented by renowned names such as Keller, Giacomo Conterno, and Giuseppe Mascarello. Burgundy boasts a diverse selection of producers and vintages, spanning over 15 years of sensational wines. Fourrier and Roumier lead the pack, closely followed by Comtes Lafon, Grivot, D’angerville, Mugnier, and a personal favorite—Forey! The wine geek in me is always thrilled to see some Clos Rougeard in our offers, and we are delighted to provide a great home for the fabulous Breze!
