The Friday List 3/8/2024
Thrill Ride
Hello Collectors,
As I compiled this week’s list, I found myself experiencing a higher level of enjoyment than usual. It’s not that I didn’t find the other recent lists exciting, but there’s an abundance of wine in this offer that I would be overjoyed to own. Some of my very favorite producers and wines are featured on this week’s Friday list, and the provenance is simply impeccable (as it always is).
Much like if you were a guest in my house for dinner, let’s begin with Champagne, of which there is a considerable amount this week. We offer a tremendous range from both Krug and Louis Roederer’s Cristal, the latter of which includes the Rose. Speaking of Rose, we also have the Dom Perignon Rose 2006, which is drinking beautifully. Among the new arrivals, there is Bruno Paillard NPU, a wine that Champagne insiders adore for its precision and beauty. If you look closely, you’ll notice that many of today’s Champagnes are available in large formats, which tend to be the first to go since Champagne always seems to taste better from a large format.
Burgundy brings its own star-studded lineup, headlined by DRC La Tache, Roumier Amoureuses, and Meo Camuzet Cros Parantoux. Value gems from Lafarge should be quickly snapped up today, as should several repriced gems from Vogue and Anne Gros. California is well-represented with a number of 99- and 100-point offerings from top producers like Hundred Acre, Kapcsandy, Opus One, Ridge, and Saxum!
