Gold on the Ceiling

It was only a matter of time before I broke my promise about shorter, more concise lists, but hear me out. This week’s offer is brimming over with “new”. New wines and new arrivals are the name of the game, and it was clearly a busy week for Cellar Trading. The list is dominated by California, yet with the right gems from Spain, Italy, Thone, and of course, Burgundy.

Today’s offer largely centers around an impeccable cellar of California wine that has a wide reach. It features great throwbacks that we love so much, like Dunn, Mayacamas, Seavey, Togni, and Joseph Phelps’ classic hillside offering Backus (including 7 vintages). It is also jam-packed with cult favorites like Abreu, Colgin, Dalla Valle (including DVO and MDV!), Promontory, Scarecrow, and Schrader.

Spain and Italy are nicely represented by elite names like Vega Sicilia, Lopez de Heredia, Bartolo Mascarello, and Masseto. Nothing to sneeze at there!
