The Friday List - 1/3/2025
Stocking Early
Hello Collectors,
As you schedule your calendar for 2025, we want to be a part of your strategic wine planning in the new year. We are asking that one of your resolutions is to be a proactive buyer for your cellar. This year, let us be your one-stop shop for aged bottles and you will be ready for that next great event! Today we are largely offering wines that are closer to or entering a great window of maturity, so if you are missing wines of a certain age, snap them up for your collection when we offer them. You will have them waiting in the wings, so you won’t need to scramble at the last minute to find the perfect wines for any occasion.
A quick glance through today’s list and I’m sure you are ready to put a majority of these in your cart (I know I certainly would!). The standouts are easy to find, as we have mature Barolo and Barbaresco from many of the best- Bartolo Mascarello, Bruno Giacosa, Gaja and Giuseppe Rinaldi. Other Italian gems in include Masseto and Poggio di Sotto, both among the finest of their categories. Look for classic Champagne from Cristal, Dom Perignon, and Krug – all a perfect way to start an epic wine dinner.
France headlines with a stunning range of Burgundy (though highly limited), starring a six pack of 2005 Rousseau’s Chambertin Clos de Beze! We’ve also got Coche-Dury Corton Charlemagne, Denis Bachelet Charmes Chambertin, Domaine Leflaive 1er Pulignys, and Raveneau in magnum, and those are just a few of the brilliant Burgs we have today. Two of the Rhone’s finest producers, Chave and Pegau, round out our Rhone offerings, while Bordeaux has a pristine case of 2000 Léoville-Las Cases and a duo of Château d’Yquem!
