The Friday List - 1/26/2024
Get Inspired
Hello Collectors,
Today’s offer spans various facets of the wine world, ensuring there’s something appealing for everyone. While resisting the temptation to indulge in these selections before featuring them in the Friday List (like that Beaucastel Hommage, since I recently tasted the 2012 vintage and fell in love!), it’s only fair to grant our valued clients the first glimpse.
The highlight for me in this offer is the 2009 Vietti Villero Riserva, boasting a triple-digit rating. Although we intended to showcase it in late 2023, it unfortunately missed the cut for the first list. Fortunately, I secured more, anticipating that this will be a sought-after item, especially among Vietti enthusiasts, given its impressive 15-year age. Additionally, I’ve managed to procure more of the perennial favorite, Tempier Rose. Despite the chilly weather that may dampen thoughts of rosé, purchasing it now ensures you’ll be grateful when it reaches its peak, as it consistently improves with age.
Burgundy takes center stage today with new releases, including top wines from Bachelet, Cathiard, and Mugnier. Noteworthy white wine gems from Bonneau du Martray (in magnum!) and the up-and-coming Lamy-Caillat, currently a hot commodity in the market, are also featured. To add to the excitement, we’ve included a selection of DRC because our stocks are dwindling!
California makes a well-rounded appearance, extending beyond Cabernet. Our offer includes a diverse selection of Peter Michael, Marcassin, and Kistler. Completing the ensemble, Plumpjack, Phelps’ Insignia, and Opus One contribute to the richness of our offer.
