The Friday List - 1/23/2026
A Finer Point
Hello Collectors,
Another exciting Friday! We could have poured more wine into today’s offer, but instead we chose to cherry-pick this list and truly put our best foot forward. The result is a lineup packed with some of the most coveted wines we’ve seen in quite some time.
The scores alone are enough to stop you in your tracks: 10 perfect 100-point wines and 25 rated between 98 and 100 — fully half of today’s offer. Quality is everywhere. Supply, unfortunately, is not.
We expect an immediate frenzy for the six-vintage, six-pack vertical of Allemand Cornas Reynard. A true pinnacle of Cornas, it’s remarkable to have these in hand at all, and we’re thrilled they’ll soon find a very special home. Not far behind are the spectacular large formats from Schrader — Old Sparky headlines an impressive eight-vintage vertical, joined by BTK and Colesworthy. And then there’s Scarecrow: legendary old vines, an extraordinary aging record, and something we see less and less of these days. If you’ve been waiting, now is the moment.
One set that may slip under the radar (but absolutely shouldn’t) is the Piero Busso Barbarescos. Nebbiolo lovers, take note: this is the final tranche from our cellar, and while they’ve been quietly selling, the critical praise has been anything but quiet. Monica Larner of Wine Advocate named Busso a “Rising Star” of Piedmont, awarding top honors among Barbarescos. Another Italian highlight not to overlook is the 97-point Gran Selezione from Riecine. I recently had the privilege of tasting these, and fans of Fontodi and Montevertine will fall hard. And yes, we even have 100-point Flaccianello magnums for your next comparison tasting.
Rounding out the offer are gems like Comando G Rumbo al Norte, Dom Pérignon Rosé 2008, D’Yquem 1990, Krug, Prévost, and much more.
Happy shopping!
