The Friday List - 11/22/2024

All Mixed Up

Hello Collectors,

Where did the year go? I can’t believe we are under a week to go until Thanksgiving, and then we are into December by the end of the long weekend! Hopefully you have exciting plans coming up, but in the meantime we interrupt your Friday morning with another great offer. We’ve got a nice mix of wines ranging from great values (15 year old Jean Marc Millot Suchots for $125!) to all-time greatness (2000 Mouton), with everything in between. Take your time with today’s offer, as I had a hard time not snapping up several wines from today’s offer myself.

So what are my personal favorites today? Well, you can’t go wrong with MacDonald, arguably the most exciting project in Napa Valley right now. The trio of offerings from Barthod tempted me the most, as these are truly exceptional wines that still remain a major bang for the buck. I’m also a longtime fan of Faiveley’s Clos des Cortons, having recently consumed the 2009 with a friend and both of us lavished tons of praise upon it. There is quite a bit of thrilling white Burgundy here (that will ship right after Thanksgiving too!), most notably Bernard Moreau and Etienne Sauzet. Both producers are at the top of their game right now.

There is also a ton of Champagne that will be shippable in the next 2 weeks; perfectly timed for the holidays! For those looking for back vintages, we have you covered. Also popular this time of year is Bourbon, and we just scooped up quite a bit of great ones (including a huge restock on the famed Pappy Van Winkle), and many great values here that you should not miss.
