All Sorts

Hello Collectors,

Now that the holidays have passed us, it feels like the right time to revisit a few things we offered right before Christmas. Thankfully, not everything got gobbled up, and there are plenty of exciting wines remaining (and a few we haven’t even offered yet). Most interestingly, there are a few things here that have new news and new reasons to buy!

The big star of today’s offer is a huge offering of Gonon. This was such a big offer, and there is still plenty left! If you’ve been looking to fill gaps in your collection, today is your second chance to stock up! Even more thrilling is the exceptionally rare Vieilles Vignes from the legendary 2010 vintage. This is a true unicorn wine, and in need of a great cellar.

The wine I’m probably most excited about is the 2008 Bollinger Grand Annee, a wine that knocked my socks off twice in 2023. I really can’t recommend this wine enough; it is probably the best $200 you can spend on a bottle of Champagne on the market. If you are wondering about the score, it’s from Champagne critic Richard Juhlin, and people who follow his ratings know that a 98 point score is remarkably rare.

On the heels of Antonio Galloni’s 2020 Barolo report, I thought it would be wise to revisit the 2019s we have remaining, as it looks like 2019 is the more consistent vintage of the 2. The wines are show-stopping values, as these are some of the fastest rising producers in Barolo, and the wines are still under $100 a bottle! It’s rare to find top wines under $100 from any top region, and it’s only a matter of time before these wines cross that barrier. I also sprinkled in a few back vintages gems as well!

To cap off this offer we’ve got the latest release of Realm’s The Absurd, a tiny production wine of prodigious stature. This also was recently rated a 98+ in Vinous (with a very glowing write up) and has long been a favorite of Cellar Trading clients.
