The Friday List - 11/10/2023
New and New
Hello Collectors,
As the weeks tick away to the end of the year, we thought it was important to bring to your attention two kinds of new in the Cellar Trading world. What exactly does that mean? Well, the obvious first category is new arrivals. The second, less obvious category is new prices! Sure, you may have seen some of these wines before, but based on the current state of the market we knew it was time to sharpen the prices and place them where they should be now. We’ve marked these wines for you in the list, so look for a double asterisk after the products with reduced prices for easier shopping.
Most of today’s offer covers some of our most popular and prolific categories like Champagne, Burgundy, California, and Italy, highlighted by the biggest names you can possibly think of. Let’s head off this introduction to these wines with those improved prices listed first: look for a reduction on names like Screaming Eagle, DRC, Roumier, Roulot, Mugnier, Bond, Bartolo Mascarello, Burlotto, Marcassin and even more. We’ve marked all these wines in the list so they will be easy to find!
Not to be overshadowed by the giants above are a bevy of new arrivals from names that we are sure will disappear quickly. Let’s start with 18-year-old Allemand: a producer we rarely have the chance to offer, so it’s always a boon to any list when we’re able to include it. Other house favorites like Tignanello, Comtes Lafon, Domaine Leflaive (check out the scores!), Heitz, Krug, Mugneret Gibourg and Vietti all make appearances though sadly, all are incredibly limited and surely won’t last long on the website. The one wine in today’s offer that we have a good supply of is Caymus Special Select 2016, in both 750ml and magnum, but even that will disappear today too!
