Screaming Eagle Sauvignon Blanc

Screaming Eagle is regularly featured in our offers, and is easily the most sought after cult Cabernet. Their Right Bank blend, The Flight (formerly Second Flight), has also gained tremendous popularity over the last few years. However, one of the biggest secrets of Screaming Eagle is that they make a tiny, tiny amount of Sauvignon Blanc. Today, we’re thrilled to offer you three vintages of this rarity.

Screaming Eagle has quietly been producing Sauvignon Blanc for over a decade, 2010 being their first vintage. Initially only for tasting on the property, it was later made available outside the estate. Tightly allocated by the winery, it’s always been a crown jewel for Screamer fans. And as time has gone by, we’ve seen a few bottles here and there sneaking onto the secondary market. With a supply to demand ratio that’s low even by cult collectors’ standards, there’s no question that Screaming Eagle Sauvignon Blanc is a true unicorn wine.

Thanks to some amazing clients, we have the three most recent releases on offer tonight. Only the 2017 has been rated so far, but The Wine Advocate’s summary of it is glowing: “This is Screaming Eagle’s best Sauvignon Blanc so far, truly demonstrating what a great, great vintage 2017 was for white wines.” As if leading Napa’s Cabernet Sauvignon pack weren’t enough, it appears they’re on their way to dominating the SB game too.
