2025 marks the 160th anniversary of the Lafon family’s winemaking legacy in Burgundy. Nearly 120 years after their founding, Dominique Lafon took the reins and propelled the domaine to new heights, cementing its place among Burgundy’s elite. Though he retired in 2021, his daughter and nephew have already begun to put their own stamp on these remarkable wines. The future is bright—but so too is the present.

The Lafon family produces wine under three labels, though the two most prominent are featured today. The Dominique Lafon wines come from family-owned and managed biodynamic vineyards, many of them tiny plots of exceptional terroir.
