A Blue Moon

We have not one, but two blue moon moments in today’s offer. First is a must-own vintage of Dom Pérignon, the first since 2008. The second is a glorious stash of back vintages from Domaine Fourrier, all available today. Add in a host of exciting new releases, and today’s lineup is one we’re thrilled to share.

We start with the lowest-production Dom Pérignon ever made, the 2017. Rated 98 points by Antonio Galloni, with a glowing review to match, this is a stellar release that won’t be around for long. If you’ve been waiting to stock up on Dom Pérignon, this is the vintage to do it. We follow that with an outstanding selection from Domaine Fourrier, featuring both new releases and domaine-cellared bottles, including a pair of vintages of Clos St-Jacques.

Rarities continue with a nice allocation of Forey’s highly sought-after Gaudichots, a wine with a production of only about 150 cases. This tiny vineyard bordering La Tâche offers a remarkably similar pedigree at a fraction of the price, making it a true gem for Burgundy lovers. We also have new releases from Comtes Lafon and Fontaine-Gagnard, two producers operating at the very top of their game.

Speaking of Lafon, Dominique’s son Guillaume has taken over winemaking for the family’s other project, and it is absolutely worth your attention. This rapidly emerging label is sourced from vineyards the family either owns or has farmed for many years. The only reason it carries a négociant designation is that they do not yet have their own winery. Hopefully, that changes soon.
