Unexpected Greatness:
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Masterful Hands
Hello Collectors,
Over the last two decades, Bodega Chacra has become a perennial must-own from the Southern Hemisphere. From the very beginning, these wines burst onto the scene with incredible fanfare and critical acclaim. Exceptional raw material, combined with an extraordinary winemaking team, is why these wines have achieved such success. If you haven’t tried them yet, now is the perfect time to start.
Ownership and winemaking are led by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, whose family owns the famed Sassicaia estate in Tuscany. In 2004, he discovered remarkable old-vine Pinot Noir in Patagonia and acquired the property. The two Pinot Noirs are named for the years the vines were planted: the flagship Pinot from 1932 (nearly 100 years old!) and the mid-line vineyard from 1955 — both offering extraordinary quality at remarkable value.
The white wines are newer to the lineup, but they are in the hands of one of the world’s greatest Chardonnay masters, Jean-Marc Roulot. These wines are priced well below anything in Roulot’s Burgundy portfolio yet fully showcase his master craftsmanship. Both are absolute must-tries for Burgundy lovers.
