Looking Back

Hello Collectors,

It’s hard to find back vintages outside of auction, especially bottles in excellent condition and with great provenance. Speaking of provenance, we’ve been fortunate to have long-established relationships with our storage customers that have led us to sourcing some stellar collections recently. We have curated this list to include some of the best aged wines from these collections.

The through-line: the value is exceptional across the board, and we want to make sure you don’t miss any of these. You may not be thinking about aged reds during this hot August, but a little thinking ahead now and you will be set for the post-Labor Day gatherings. We’ve got three of the greatest Bordeaux vintages of all time – 2000, 2005, 2009; the legendary 1999 Clos de Tart, considered Pitiot’s first successful vintage, and a must have for any serious Burgundy collector; Bond assortments – compared to recent release prices, the value here is incredible. The 2010 Bonds are our favorite vintage of the last 15 years at less than half the price of the current releases ($310-$335 vs. $600+). Italy is represented by both the acclaimed Dal Forno’s indigenous varietals, as well as Quintarelli’s extremely rare Alzero, the perfect marriage of the traditional appassimento method with non-traditional Cab Sauvignon, Merlot and Cab Franc. We can’t think of a better way to stock up for current drinking this fall!
