The 2022 Harlan Estate is a superb wine in the making. It exudes notable purity, texture and resonance from start to finish, with lovely mid-palate richness and fine detail. Dark red cherry, plum, cinnamon, menthol and rose petal build in the glass. The 2022 shows a bit more mid-palate juiciness and weight than the 2021 or 2020, but the balance here is just remarkable. I expect this will be one of the wines of the year when it is bottled. [Antonio Galloni, 12/01/2025]
