The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres 1er Cru has a rich, oily, lanolin-scented bouquet that feels a little overworked in the winery. There is a slight geranium aroma here. The palate is sweet and creamy in texture, dominated by a lot of new oak, but is there much underneath? There does not seem to be. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
