Bright red. Lively aromas of red cherry and rose petal. Bigger and richer than the Gavarini Chiniera: more mouthfilling. Ripe but dry, and a little less precise and elegant than the Gavarini. This wine’s darker fruit character and more serious tannins give it a masculine aspect. Not quite the floral lift here, but long on the finish. [Stephen Tanzer, 01/11/2011]
